Spanning a history of 125 years and four generations, the Mayrsohn family has been a leading importer and exporter in perishable foods business.

The great story started in 1899. When young Mayr Mayrsohn shipped in the first load of fresh produce from Cuba to New York, he also started a prodigious legacy.

In 1947, Bernard Mayrsohn, after serving in the U.S. Army during the WWII and attending Cornell University, followed his father's footsteps into produce trading. Bernard started active sales to Europe, which further developed Mayrsohn's business. By 1959 Bernard was part owner and became president of the public company Prevor-Mayrsohn International with offices in New York Hunts Point Market and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In 1982, Mark Mayrsohn also a Cornell graduate, joined his father and together they created Mayrsohn International Trading Co., Inc. While Bernard maintained active imports and exports with Europe, Mark significantly expanded the business into the Caribbean islands, Central and South America.

Fast-forward to 2018, Mayrsohn is now one of the most respected and recognized names in the Global Import/Export produce business. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, Mayrsohn has additional offices in New York and Santiago, Chile to ensure delivery of fresh produce for all our customers.

Mayrsohn has enhanced their global trading presence to include Asia over the recent years, enabling expansion of exports to many Countries within the Asian Market.

Mark's quality mindset and close built relationships, both in Europe and Asia and especially with the California Cherry Growers, has made Mayrsohn a leading exporter of California Cherries Worldwide.

Our Miami facility includes twelve different coolers with independent temperature controls, on premises offices for in-and-out close inspection, a dedicated global sales team and longstanding relationships with suppliers and customers.
